Origin

Place of origin: Eastern Turkistan
Date of origin: 19th century, late (?)
No date indicated in the text, but different notes, containing dates, viz. on the inside front cover 1311/1893-1894, on f. 1b 1324/1906-1907 and on f. 94b 1335/1916-1917, which lead to the conclusion that the copy was made sometime before 1893, i.e. late 19th century.

Provenance: On f. 94a a seal impression, and a name of a former owner. On f. 94b a few Russian letters and their Turki equivalents plus a Chinese stamp impression. The ms. was bought from Rev. David Gustafsson who acquired it in Yarkand in the 1920's.

Acquisition: The ms. was part of the Jarring collection of Eastern Turkistan manuscripts donated to the Lund University Library in 1982.
